We're supposed to be leaving tomorrow morning to head back to Michigan for Thanksgiving. Pretty sure I've been looking forward to this since, oh, September...Plus, our families are uber excited too. It's been awhile since most of them have seen Miss Georgia. Aaand since she's pretty much the cutest thing in the world, we have been dying to show her off.
Well today, 20 hours before we were supposed to leave, the army decided that they are not going to approve Mikes mileage pass that would allow us to go home. Sigh. They did say he can take leave and we can leave on Thursday at midnight. So, we will be driving though the night and barely making it home in time for Thanksgiving dinner. I know, better late than never. And I should be grateful that we can go home at all since a lot of our fellow military friends here are not able to. But it still stinks when you've been looking forward to something for so long only to have your plans change the day before. On the bright side, at least it won't interfere with my Black Friday shopping. hehe.
