Sleep is for the weak.

Or so thinks Georgia anyways. Man, that baby sure hates sleeping! She definitely didn't get that from me or her dad, that's for sure. At 6 months old, she is still waking up every 2-3 hours all.night.long. Ya, that's making for one tired momma! She'll put herself to sleep just fine, but staying asleep? That's an issue.

Part of the problem is that she's just way too cute. We'll put her to bed at 8 and she'll fall right asleep. Then lately she's been getting up a few times between 8 and midnight. But when we go in her room to give her her binky, she smiles at us. Who can resist that?! We try really hard to ignore her, but ohmygosh. We'll usually make it to the putting the binky back in her mouth part without really acknowledging her. But then she'll smile at you with her binky in her mouth and it's about the cutest darn thing ever. So of course, we can't help but crack a little smile. Which then makes her think "Oh yes! They're going to play with me!" Wrong. Very wrong. So we'll walk out of the room, leaving that smiling face behind. And then comes the scream. And boy oh boy, can she scream. After midnight hits, we're lucky if she'll sleep for 3 hours before she wakes up again. It's usually closer to 2 hours. Cry, re-bink, lots of shushing, fall asleep, wake up 2 hours later, repeat. That's my life these days. Sigh. But she's worth it, I promise. ;)
